Frequently Asked Questions

What is Libro?

Libro is a textbook exchange; it brings buyers and sellers together.

What would I want to use Libro if you want to sell my book?

Libro allows sellers to name the price they want to sell their book.

Why would I want to use Libro to buy a book?

Sellers list their price; typically less than the bookstore and on-line options to ensure you, as the buyer, get better pricing AND, typically, from someone from your school, so meeting at the student union instead of shipping makes it easier and less expensive.

How do I gain access to Libro?

The home screen has a “Sign Up” button; touch it and follow the prompts to set up your account.

How do I use Libro?

Log in to Libro using your account; locate the book by either typing in the ISBN, scanning the bar code (if you have the book in front of you), or using our easy to navigate “Search” feature. Once you have the book you are looking for on the screen choose to either buy or sell the book by selecting the appropriate “Offer this Book” or “Buy this Book” button. If you are a seller, you need to fill in the necessary fields, such as “offer price” and “condition”.

How much will this cost me?

Sellers pay for the cost of the book, shipping & handling (if there is any – remember, most people will be using the exchange at their schools and hand delivering the books), and a small transaction fee that pays for the exchange and credit card processing.

How do I get paid if I sell a book?

The seller’s credit or debit card is billed immediately, however, the payment goes into an escrow for 5 days to ensure fulfillment and/or time to manage a dispute.
